Ways of Hearing God's Voice

How can we find answers to the questions that matter to us, so that we can make the right decisions in life? How can we understand God's will for the different situations of life? When we were younger, and even in our teenage years, we would pull the petals off flowers to try to reach a conclusion about something, and the last petal would decide.
