Our story
In 1990, Pastor Sam Yeghnazar, a senior leader in the Iranian church, founded the ministry of Elam with a dream of bringing the message of Jesus to every Persian speaker in the world. In those days, fewer than ten Persian speakers worldwide had received formal biblical training. To meet this need, Elam built the only residential Persian-language Bible-training centre in the world. Years later, Elam took on another great task: a fresh translation of the Bible into today's Persian, which came to fruition in 2014.
Today, Kalameh witnesses that God is still doing something wonderful among Persian speakers. Thousands are coming to know Jesus, home churches are forming, and believers around the world are growing — yet many do not know how to grow or how to walk alongside others.
Everyone is invited to have a part in God's kingdom. Kalameh is here to help you find your part in this kingdom, and to help others play theirs too — from the first steps of growing in faith to equipping others.
On Kalameh, you have access to Weekly Fellowship (a guide for home churches) and the tools you need for this journey: the Bible, Christian books and articles, the song archive, and teaching videos and podcasts. You can also get in touch with us directly.
With Kalameh, you are part of a larger community — a shared story, the story of God's work among Persian speakers and beyond.
You are invited too!
